Seven years ago, GBS was a driving force in the formalization of an industry-standard training programme. With the cooperation of a handful of the area's strongest network cabling companies, OTAB (the Ontario Training Adjustment Board), and Algonquin College, the Network Cable Specialist Programme was borne from the Network Cable Specialist Association. Industry standards in product specifications notwithstanding, there was a lack of consistency in cabling services rendered by individual installers. With the initial success of the training programme, the corporate and government community in our area can expect an even higher grade of service - perhaps approaching OUR level of service!  The Network Cabling Specialist Trade achieved Proclamation at Queen's Park in June of this year.
