GBS has a Standing offer with this department for the past 2 years. GBS successfully completed the installation of a Voice and Data Telecommunications network amongst 9 floors (2, 3, 8, 9, 10, 11, 14, 15, 20 and 21). Each floor has 2 closets with 111 voice cables and 111 data cables and 60 interconnect cables between each closet. Cables are terminated onto Thomas & Betts 3 port jacks at the work stations and onto a combination of Ortronics 48 Port and 24 port patch panels (with Bix 1A termination Block). Both jacks and panels are configured to meet ISDN specifications. GBS manufactured and installed one hinged-backboard, in each of the closets, enabling the patch panels to sit flush against the board and to be separated in their perspective fields; Voice, Data and Interconnect cables). The hinged bracket enables future cables to be easily terminated onto the back of these panels.
