Supplied and installed a category 5 Token Ring LAN wiring solution for 460 work stations amongst floors 8, 9 & 10 of the Constitution Building. From each floor's central wiring closet to each work station, all cables were installed free-air through the ceiling and securely fastened to the slab every 10 feet with it's own independent support. 100 vertical utp category 5, 4 pair cables were installed to provide ample connectivity between the 8th, 9th and 10th floors. Each floor's wiring centre has heavy duty 19" racks with hinged metal vertical cable management systems (CMS) installed on both sides. Category 5 patch panels with horizontal CMS mount on these racks for both horizontal and vertical utp terminations. This installation was installed, tested, documented, inspected and certified by DND's Quality Assurance Staff all within 4 weeks.
